Day 9 : I See Red , I See Red - NOT

After falling to sleep to the sounds of Jazz last night on a hot summer's night, the cool morning walk to the croissant shop for breakfast was refreshing. Now starts the trekking out of Switzerland into the land of Austria, not without incidence of course on the road trip in Europe. No stopping the Australian's in the flash blue Picasso Citroen, even when the traffic light is red! Sometimes those traffic lights should yell out STOP! but even in Europe they don't! Looking around at the faces of the other Swiss drivers indicated that the Australians had arrived. At least we travelled through mile after mile of tunnels in the Swiss Alps without incident. Talk about tunnels, seems like hundreds of them. Stopping only to stock up(shopping expedition @ the servo) on swiss chocolate with our leftover swiss francs, we arrived @ Tirol, just out of Innsbruck. Tirol, in Winter is a skiing and snowboarding holiday destination. In Summer, a walking and cycling paradise. Walking we couldn't resist as we got out of the car after travelling a long distance. The walk was magical, past a clear mountain steam, church on the hill and green ski slopes of the alps. Summer flowers frangrances were much easier than the cow poo smells on every corner as the cows are housed in barns in peoples homes. Checking into our family run hotel business was easy and our rooms overlook the alps with snow on top. Of course, dinner had to include @ a local restaurant a schneitzle spelling), as when in Rome, as when in Austria......Boys in the bar to close another eventful and happy day on the Europe road trip.
