Day 26 : On The Road Again.(20/7/09)

We decided that we hadn't really given Dublin enough of our time, so we collected our hire car and left it and our luggage at the B&B after checking out, and bussed into the city again. We knew there was an interesting display at the museum on remains found in the bogs that were remarkably well preserved, and thought it would be worth a look. Juss opted to explore the shops instead, so we walked down to the museum only to find .... it was closed on Mondays. So instead we visited a Yeats exhibition at the Library, and also another exhibition on the spread of the Irish into Europe in the middle ages. It was good follow up to our Irish History tour the previous day. After that, we had another look around Trinity College - dodging the showers of rain - and made our way back to O'Connell Street to catch up with Juss, who had had a great time shopping & exploring the little alleys of the city. After a bite to eat, we made our way back to the B&B and started the trek south. It was a welcome relief to be driving on the left hand side of the road again - not as stressful at all. We stopped on the way to see Damar House and the Roscrea heritage centre, then off to Cashel to our B&B. After eventually finding it we ventured into town for a nice meal at one of the local pubs. Carmel and Juss finally had an Irish Coffee - which was very, very good - and after a nightcap of some wine in the B&B we hit the sack.
