The Next Day - Day 21

London today has a fun run with street closures as well as a demonstration march - and early drizzle. So we kept our plans simple : there was a Rolling Stones exhibition as Saatchi Gallery that was only 20 minutes walk away. This looked similar to the Bowie Is exhibition I had seen in Melbourne late last year, so we thought this would be worth a look. - and it was. It was a good collection of old memorabilia, audio-visual history and displays, and a 3D concert footage at the end. It spread over 8 rooms in 2 floors and took us just over two hours to go through. Look out for my souvenir T-shirt when I'm back in Bunbury !
That done we met up with Patrick who had some time free before work . We decided that an English roast was the order of the day for lunch, so we ended up back at the same pub we were at on Friday night and each had a roast with Yorkshire pudding, vegies, potatoes roasted in duck fat and some gravy. All very nice. A walk down to the Thames gave us an opportunity to work some of the calories off, then back to the hotel for dinner and the Euro final.
Tomorrow we fly home and this leg of the trip will be done. The BMOS tour was fantastic even though it was hard work at times and the experiences we had will be long remembered. Having the family time at the end here in England was wonderful and it was fantastic to catch up the girls and have all of us  together.
Postings from Sri Lanka will depend on wifi availability - so kep an eye on the blog but if nothing appears check out Carmel's Facebook page where there will be postings.
Thanks for following us this far.
