Our last full day of the tour. The downside of being near the airport was that it took an hour and a half to get into Paris for our coach tour with onboard guide. Carmel & I jumped off the coach once in Paris to rendezvous with Tara ; and then walked our way around the sights until meeting the group again at Notre Dame for the coach trip back to the hotel. From there it was only a five minute walk into an adjacent village area for some lunch - including the obligatory escargots- then a short time to pack bags and relax before the trip back into Paris for our final concert. After our rehearsal we performed to a small but enthusiastic crowd, and suddenly the tour was over. The final part of the itinerary was a group meal at a nearby restaurant, that started at 10.00pm and finished at midnight with some nice French wines enjoyed together with a good meal and presentations of tokens to each choir member for incidents throughout the tour. Back into the coach once more, it was an hour trip back to the hotel, final goodbyes and then quickly to bed before the travels ahead.
