The accommodation in Prague is much better than Salzburg, and we were appy to sleep in a for a little while before getting up for breakfast and then assembling in the lobby to meet our guides for the walking tour. off we set, taking in some of the sights as the coach made its way to the castle overlooking the old city and the river ; and then we walked our way through the castle area, down to Charles bridge and then into the old town itself. As we moved along our guide gave us a comprehensive view of the history of this nation fro early times through to the Happsburghs then the World Wars, communism and then independence and modern politics. It was very interesting and gave a good insight into this city. We could also see and appreciate the beauty of the city in both its setting and buildings. Then it was an independent couple of hours for lunch, where we found some local fare, then off - after a very convoluted coach ride and walk - To Hlahov Hall, the venue for our concert. We rehearsed for nearly an hour , then a quick run through with the Prague Mens Choir for the two pieces we would sing together. Then it was time to change and the concert start was near. The concert went well, and again it was very much appreciated by the capacity crowd that filled the venue. Afterwards we were treated to a short talk by a holocaust survivor from the audience who asked to talk to us once the audience had dispersed, as well as a sung prayer by a greek Orthodox priest from the Czech choir. Then it was a long walk to a restaurant for a meal together and a few drinks before another walk to the coach, and the trip back to the hotel.
