Its an obvious one, but how could you pass up a song title like that for today ? We had a well earned sleep in this morning, then had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and then made our way into the centre of Vienna. The warm weather continues - probably low thirties - but it was a pleasant walk and gave us a chance to have a look at the old buildings and get used to streets while there wasn't too much of a crowd on a Sunday. There are some magnificent palaces and Baroque architecture, and statues and fountains everywhere. First stop was the Tourist Information Centre, where we purchased a Vienna Card that will give us free local travel for the next three days as well as discounts into museums and other places of interest. After walking around the gardens of the central city we stopped for lunch - in an Italian restaurant, of all places. We then made our way to the Hausdermusik, which is an interactive museum that starts on the lowr floors with an exploartion of what makes sound, how we hear and interpret it; then how music tones are made and then finally on the fourth floor it has a lengthy display on Vienna as a centre of classical music , together with an audio commentary on the lives of the important composers in Vienna during that time. On Sundays the museum has a classical concert in the courtyard with violin and piano and explanations on interpretation of these pieces by different composers. A beer in the square helped refresh us before we made our way back to the hotel, where we will plan our tours for the coming days before heading out to dinner.

sounds like you are now having holiday!
