Day 40 : Its All Over Now, Baby Blue

A 7am transfer from the hotel to the airport meant we were up early. This time passport control and airline check-in was quick and we were left with a couple of hours to kill before the flight. Carmel & Juss showed stamina to spend most of it checking out the duty free shops. The flight - a bit less than 11 hours - wasn't too bad, and suddenly we were home. Carmel had a bit of a hiccup in customs with her bling, but finally she was out and the trip was over.
We had visited seven countries; flown, driven and walked countless kms; explored museums, shops and laneways ; seen the world's best art as well as the sights ; and enjoyed local food and drink in amazing locations. We managed a swim, and got in at least some cricket in waterlogged Birmingham. Above all, we had a great time and got on remarkably well for four people who did almost everything together for nearly 6 weeks. We'll all have a lot of memories to look back on - look out for a photo slide show somewhere near you in the coming weeks!
We hope you enjoyed the blog. We all had a turn in writing the days, and choosing the day's song title was always entertaining. We tried to download our photos onto the laptop each night and so had a bit of a look back on what we'd done each day, and pick a couple to share with you. So goodbye from us all, and thanks for joining us.
David & I think a trip to India for a Test might be a good trip next time ...............
