The Trip Begins...

It was quite surreal .... there we were, at 5.30AM sipping Moet & Chandon on the plane as it prepared for take-off. By an amazing stroke of good fortune we had all been offered a complimentary upgrade to business class. As the lady behind the counter wryly observed : "No-one ever knocks it back..." so there we all were, sitting in our comfy seats and enjoying the trappings we normally associated with the rich & famous. As you can imagine, the flight was most enjoyable. Service was impeccable, the food great and the associated wine list of a suprising standard. Justine even ordered a cocktail,-just beacause she could. So we ate, drank, dozed and watched movies on our own little consoles. The flight was comfortable, and we are currently in Dubai terminal awaiting our connecting flight to Paris - alas, in economy. We will keep you posted next time we have access.

    BUSINESS CLASS? Damn you and your Moet & Chandon.
    Message from the cleaners: "Can you clean the enjo clothes, all you need is some water to use them". Um.
    Also I paid bills - holy mother of moolah, we use a lot of gas!

    Hi Chris,
    What an experience! Glad to hear you had a good flight. (Flying economy class eill never be the same!) Love the view of the Eiffel Tower from your apartment which I hope is comfortable and the weather good.

    I envy your cultural tour of the famous galleries and works of Art, you must have seen some wonderful paintings.Look forward to seeing some brochures, etc on your return home.

    Continue to have a wonderful trip and we look forward to the next instalment.
